FAQ

• Who are you?

  I am a programmer. I moved to Canada some time ago and wanted to watch public Greek channels, so I built an app for it.

• Can I watch PayTV?

  Everything in the app is publicly available. You will not find NOVA or pay TV here—only publicly available channels. Full list: greektv.page/status

• Where do you get all those channels?

  Main source is a public list on GitHub: github.com/free-greek-iptv/greek-iptv

• Can I add my channel?

  Create a new issue on GitHub: github.com/free-greek-iptv/greek-iptv/issues

• I don’t want my channel in your lineup

  Please create an issue on GitHub (that’s where the list comes from): github.com/free-greek-iptv/greek-iptv/issues. Your channel will be removed shortly after.

• How can I watch Greek TV online?

  This site is about GreekTV on Roku. Search for the channel in the Roku channel store, or use these links:

• What is a Roku?

  Roku players are online media players made by Roku, Inc. To buy one: Amazon – Roku

• What’s the difference between free and paid?

  Ads and GUI enhancements.

• Are you making lots of money?

  No. I do this to cover server costs—monitoring dead channels, hosting, and other technical expenses.

• How do I know if a channel will work without installing the app?

  Check the status page. If a channel is green for your country (e.g. CA, US, GR, IE) and is not YouTube, it will likely work. You can also try the links in a player like VLC.

• How can I contact you?

  Join my public Telegram channel: t.me/greektvchannel. That’s the only place to find me (the previous Facebook group was closed by Facebook).

• Why doesn’t my Roku play the YouTube channels on the status page?

  Roku only plays HLS (m3u8) and MP4 streams. That’s a platform limitation. Same on Android TV—you can only link to the YouTube URL there.
